Bucknell University invites nominations and applications for the position of Associate Dean of Health and Wellness (ADHW). The ADHW will join the University during an exciting era for Student Affairs. Established in 1846 as the University at Lewisburg, Bucknell is supported by over 1,200 full-time employees (roughly 400 faculty and nearly 900 staff) and has a dedicated network of more than 57,000 alumni. 3,846 undergraduates and 46 graduate students, representing most U.S. states and 57 countries, are enrolled across Bucknell's three colleges: the College of Arts & Sciences, the College of Engineering and the Kenneth W. Freeman College of Management. For fiscal year 2023-24, Bucknell had an operating budget of $273 million and an endowment of $1.09 billion. Most students live on campus all four years, fostering a vibrant, close-knit living and learning community. Bucknell's campus, located in Lewisburg, PA, is among the most attractive in the country.
Reporting to the Associate Vice President and Fritz Family Dean of Students (AVPDOS), the Associate Dean of Health and Wellness (ADHW) will provide leadership, management and supervision for a professional team of 40 within the Health and Wellness Pillar. They will also serve as a member of the AVPDOS leadership team and participate in establishing divisional goals in accordance with the strategic plan. The ADHW oversees the breadth of Health and Wellness, including Interpersonal Violence Prevention and Advocacy, Counseling & Student Development Center, Nutrition, and Student Health. Student Health is affiliated with Bucknell University and the Health and Wellness Pillar through a joint venture with Geisinger Hospital the WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital (Joint Venture). The ADHW will have oversight of the Joint Venture partnership. Direct reports include the following: Director, Counseling and Student Development; Director, Interpersonal Violence and Prevention; Alcohol and Drug Prevention Specialist; and Nutrition Specialist. Priorities of the next ADHW will be crafting a strategic plan and vision for the Health and Wellness pillar; serving as a trusted and collaborative leader for health and wellness on campus; and supporting, developing and augmenting the Health and Wellness staff.

Minimum requirements for the role include: Master's degree required, terminal degree preferred. 5-7 years of experience required, 7 or more preferred. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The salary range for this role is $130,000 - 147,000 with a strong benefits package, including tuition remission and generous paid time off.
